The Greene County Medical Center board of trustees appointed a new member at its March meeting. Long-time Greene County resident Douglas (Doug) Carman has joined the Greene County Medical Center board of trustees.
Carman lives in rural Jefferson and is an active member of the community. He is retired from Peoples Bank in Scranton after 38 years of service.Carman is also on the board of directors for Habitat for Humanity, and has a passion for putting people first and giving back to his community.
“My interest in joining the Greene County Medical Center board of trustees is a matter of giving back to the community and the people who live here,” said Carman. “The medical center is an essential component to the county and to the region and what better place to spend my time giving back.”
Carman has a bachelor of science degree in agricultural business from Northwest Missouri State University. With his background and skillset in agriculture, finance and business, he brings a great amount of knowledge to the medical center board.
Carman is filling a vacancy left by David Hoyt, who retired from the board after 15 years. Medical Center administration and the board thanked him for his dedication during his time on the board.
